Hans Kruckenhauser was born in Bregenz in 1940. From 1950 to 1964 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts at Vienna. He attended the International Summer Academy in Salzburg in 1960. From 1965 to 1967 he studied in Paris. Kruckenhauser was the assistant of Kurt Moldovan at the International Summer Academy of Salzburg and later of Maximilian Melcher at the Academy of Fine Arts at Vienna. Since 1980 he has been working as a freelance artist. He arranged a lot of exhibitions at home and abroad. Kruckenhauser was awarded many art prizes. The artist lives and works in Burgenland. Hans Kruckenhauser died in 2017. Hans Kruckenhauser main techniques are the lithograph and the water color. His central motifs are city views and landscapes. He entirely avoided the representation of human figures.
